Water Backflow Prevention
In 2007 the Water Supply By-Law was enacted, and it took effect on
the 1st of January 2008.
One of its provisions deals with Backflow prevention.
What it means is that Industrial, multi residential,and comercial water systems have to ensure the safety of our drinking water, and make sure, that there is a seperation of private and public water-supplies.
